Finally found what looked to be a really nice condition loose Luke Bespin (albeit with repro weapons  ) and got it today and the first thing that is noticable is how tacky the hair feels, like it's been painted - and the same with his boots.

Checked on the sellers feedback and has only one neutral and it's not a seller I've dealt with before.

Here's the listing:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-STAR-WARS-KENNER-FIGURE-LUKE-SKYWALKER-BESPIN-COMPLETE-HK-SCULPT2-ORANGE-/261426389080?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=c75ME2Ttubb14Pq9VFmGNqKmFes%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

He's going to get sent back because I'm positive this figure has been tampered with. But I've not come across anyone faking orange hair Luke's before now - and in such and obvious way! The hobby really is getting shafted by all manner of scammers these days.

Well it doesn't surprise me people are trying, these toys were badly painted in the first place so it has to be one of the easiest forgeries to pull off. Far easier than making repro packaging or weapons.

Thanks for the warning about this guy, sorry to see they also paint figures and sell them as original

Just a word of caution, original paint is tacky on a few figures - Rebel Commander's boots are notorious for it.

Are you positive it has been repainted?
