R2D2 pop-up lightsaber - original or repro?

Bought an R2 recently on ebay, this was listed as with original pop-up lightsaber. Had it for a couple of weeks and decided to do the 'float' test and it sank right to the bottom. Have a look at the picture, can anyone tell if its original or repro? If its the later I might contact the seller for a part-refund. Many thanks!! Simon

Looks repro to me sorry mate!

I think it looks OK - seems to be the right colour - is it still wet in the picture

With the float test for this one - you need to place it gently on the top of the water and it should float - however if you push it down it will sink

A lot of the repro versions of this one are painted hard plastic and that doesn't look to be the case here - does it have a little dot on the handle?

Thanks guys. Iain, the saber was bone dry, there is a dot on the handle and the float test was positive second time as per your advice on placing the sabre gently on the surface, the 1st time I just dropped it. Great advice!!

Your saber looks legit to me, but beware there are repro's out there that float and are moulded from green plastic!
