I wasn't familiar with the name but looked him up and do remember him from various films over the years.
Also sad to lose someone you remember bringing a smile to your face and there seems to be too many people leaving us this year already.

Very sad news, haven't seen him in much apart from the home alone movies, which I love, RIP
Very sad to hear the passing of John Heard. Home Alone 1 and 2 were two of my favourite films as a kid. Great actor.
