Hi guys,

I am new to this forum, but I have a question. I am looking for a protective star case to protect a carded vintage diecast Tie Fighter from episode IV. I bought it a couple of days ago but it came without any sort of protection. I have searched the internet for some protective diecast cases, but I can only find expensive acrylic cases. By ordering them I pay almost as much as my diecast Tie Fighter! Any suggestions? Thanx!!!!

Hi Mr. Tie, welcome to the forum. Sorry that I can't help you with that. But maybe some of the other guys can help you on the forum :D

Contact these guys:

Don't the regular plastic star cases fit them. I think the cardbacks are the same size as the figures. They only cost a couple of quid.

im with Maulster79, UKG will be able to sort that out for you, i had one graded with them and i think they did a brilliant job

Star case are to small Lee.

Hey you guys,

Thanks for all hints! But I am actually not looking for means to grade my vintage carded Tie Fighter. The acrylic case looks very stunning, but I own a vintage Canadian carded Darth Vader Tie Fighter in protective star case. Because the bubble of this Darth Vader Tie Fighter is much smaller than the regular Tie Fighter it won't fit. But I'm looking for a similar case that will hold the regular Tie Fighter. Mhhh.... sad case this is?

Hey there!

You don't have to get the item graded as they sell the cases separately :) Hope these help!

 Ignore my comment then! Order an acrylic case from Ukg.

There are star cases for die cast MOCs, I have two but I have never seen them for sale. Die cast is really tricky as the card stock varies in size considerably - my Pal tie is a fair bit bigger than the Kenner ones.

I got a guy on here to make me some cases but to be honest, they weren't much cop.

Never had anything from UKG but they've got to be worth a go
