One thing I'll give Trump is that at least he didn't lie or bullshit people. He's following through on everything he said he'll do as best he can for those who voted him into office.

He's a failed business man that claimed to be successful (and funniest of all clever), but has proven to have lost more money than he's ever made. I'd suggest that is a pretty sizeable lie... I'll never understand how he got in.

I was watching something the other day about how trump bought up land in new York in the early 70s. This was when the city was bankrupt. Trump did deals worth hundreds of millions to the city and in return paid very little tax. Now he owns a lot of high end real estate in New York.

Sadly for Mr Trump, he has spent more time out of the Forbes top 50 in that period than in it (see filing for bankruptcy above). He is reported as having dropped at the lowest point to $800 million. More recently his family and business partners have taken control of large divisions of his portfolio and surprise, surprise, his wealth has turned round and he's back in the top 50... with a growth (300%) that has been more recently accrued.
To put his 300% growth in some further context, the top ranked growth of his peers is 14,658% nearly 49 times more than Trump.
Notable other names on the list:
Phil Knight (Nike): 6175% growth
Bill Gates (Microsoft): 7027% growth
Both of which did not inherit billions of dollars and actually built a business from scratch, out of a garage/shed, traded it and grew it (with all the risks involved) throughout the same period.
No doubting an interesting man, but absolutely not the astute top ranked business man he often claims to be...
