Fist of all apologies if this topic has been discussed, but I want to know what are everyone's opinions on price stickers? My personally I hate them and wil avoid buying mocs that has a price stickers,

Hi Carl, yes it was discussed recently: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26535&hilit=price+stickers

You might want to add a comment there!

To me it all depends where the sticker is placed on the card. As long as it is in a corner or any other place where it does not alter the card art, I don't mind the price sticker, which is part of the toy history.

id rather buy a moc with a price sticker every time. it adds history and character to a moc. i like to know where they were bought from its interesting

i have a rees yees moc that i identified came from a independant toy/model shop called jennings in enfield london. its closed a few years ago after being open since 1948.

i have a potf Emperor with belz toys gift outlet sticker on. a factory outlet mall in allen texas .This particular mall opened in 1983 and closed 1987 and layed abandoned till demolition in 2010! looks like scenes from a zombie film check it out

too see my mocs check out them in 'my budget moc' showcase

I can understand that it part of the history and can add to the nostegia, but in my opinion i think it ruins the look of the moc, especially the bright orange TRU stickers, I want to the card in its entirety and not be obscured by stickers.

The big TRU stickers are easily removed with a carefully used hairdryer.

I like the smaller stickers too as they do have the history behind them... but as long as they don't obscure the card too much.

Awesome! :)

I like them. Wish I had one with Toy & Hobby on.

Was just thinking the exact same thing! A single MOC with that price sticker, especially if I knew it was from the Chester branch, woud be something of a grail item for me.

I think you either like them or you don't, it's a matter of opinion. Personally I love them, as long as they're in a good place. I like them just to the right of the logo in that sort of area. Two of my favourite Mocs have them, a Tusken Raider and a Tie Pilot. I don't like massive ones like the 1.59 ones and I don't like them right over the logo, nameplate or photo. I like them because they make that Moc unique and as others said they're part of the history of the Moc :D

I didn't used to like them, but getting a few MOCs with them on changed my mind. I'd love a MOC/box with a sticker on from some of the shops I frequented as a kid - Carters, Wileys and Feathers in Bradford.

Used to go in the Chester branch when we lived near Tarporley. I remember buying some MASK toys, Bombsweeper Nintendo Game & Watch and Super Mario 3 there :) . You might remember Claud Grimes the Raleigh main dealer in Chester. Got my bikes as a kid from there - Raleigh Mustang and the Raleigh Vector.

I'm not a fan of them but can see their value in history so tend to remove them and them place them in a good spot on the back of the card. The history is kept and I don't need to look at them if I don't want to :D

I like them. I bought two mocs an r2 and a c3po that were loft finds and both had the same local toy store price sticker on them. Sad as it sounds I felt great that I was keeping them together, brothers that would have been un-DNA-able if it wasn't for the price stickers.

Also love the tri logo factory price sticker.

I don't like them as a general rule and would prefer cards without them. But, sometimes they are a great addition to the card - especially overseas variants. Some of the stores aren't even around any more.

I have a Toltoys Vader with a New Zealand Store sticker that isn't around anymore, and I think it is brilliant.

I know of a German Vader that has a price sticker right on top of Vader's face too. Its the worst place it could possibly have been put, but it is still cool in its own way.

So, yes and no. That's pretty definitive! :)

I collect French Meccano MOCs and I love it when there is a FF (French Francs) price sticker on them, especially when it is from a shop I used to go to as a kid, or a shop which no longer exists. It brings back good memories.
Also, having a price sticker on a MOC might be very helpful in some instances for determining the country of origin... For example a French price sticker on a trilogo MOC that has a smaller bubble wih rounded corners tells you that it is a French Meccano release, while the same MOC without the price sticker could be viewed as a Palitoy type 3 trilogo MOC, couldn't it Joe?? ;)

I like price stickers as well adds caractor for me, always thought it would be cool to collect MOCs with as many different price stickers as possible. :)

I have MOCs with and without - MOC has to be something special for me to bite with a price sticker attached. Cant stand the £1.59 stickers and when shops have clearly put 3 or 4 stickers on top of each other.

Well the £1.59 sticker is factory applied and I am a fan.

As said the price sticker is a bit of history itself and as long as the stickers r in the right place ie not covering art work etc then great!

This year I sold a couple of real nice MOCs that had Slefridges and Hamleys price stickers on them 8)

Price tags are great, and im another who loves the Tris with the big sticker. Special buy are a favorite too

I would always try to get a moc, cardback or box with a price sticker, I have a focus for items with danish price stickers. I love the story and the history about where the item was sold.

See the thread about Danish stuff and danish stickers on this link http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=10847
