I recently sold a few figs on ebay, and had to make a non-paying bidder alert to get paid. The buyer paid in the end and then bought something else off me and paid instantly.

That buyer emailed me today saying that he received the second parcel today but it was the wrong figures, and what was I going to do about it.

I told him that was impossible as I only posted them today, but he claims the return address on the parcel is mine.

It's so wierd I think he must be trying to scam a refund out of me, but I can't see how its going to work

Anyone got any ideas what he's up to??

He must be trying something on  But then if he says he's received them on the same day you've sent them (and presuming you've got the postage receipt as proof) then he shouldn't have a leg to stand on. Maybe he bought the first lot to obtain your packaging and the second lot to try the scam or maybe he's just mixed things up? :|

I asked if he mixed up the boxes, and he said he only received one package today and it was from me. Supposedly a concept R2 and CP0 - I've never even owned those figures...
:?:

Ask him for some photos of the packaging alongside the figures he claims to have received. If he's talking about carded concept figures they are probably bigger than the package you sent. He sounds dodgy

I sent POTJ MOC figures so there wont be much in it

He's just said there's another return address inside, on a little piece of paper.

If its not a scam it looks like it could be a really weird coincidience. A third party has reused a box that I sent them, and then sold to this guy too

Sounds real dodgy to me mate, is he willing to return these 'supposed' figures to you at his cost so you can identify them?

It sounds dodgey, but if it's a scam HOW the hell does he propose to get money from you? You have proof of postage and you didnt sell him the figures he claims? :?

He says he's got 10 different parcels arriving from 10 different people, and as he never bought the concept figs, he's only got the return address to go on. He says he's emailed everyone since I said it wasn't my parcel.

Unbelievable as it sounds it might just be that someones reused a box I sent them, but I'm still waiting for pics of the box to prove it
