Now, can someone tell me WTF I'm supposed to do for two and a half months until the season starts again!?

What you on about their is a huge game on Thursday. Or is it Friday? England v Holland, I think it's Holland?

There has been no football for over three weeks anyway, you can't call that final 'football'!

Joking aside the second goal on Saturday was a quality finish, taking into account the occasion and what not. Was a great finish.

Some interesting new rules for next season:

I think the no opposition players in a wall rule is sensible, it never seemed fair to me that players can barge a wall out of the way. And I have another rule recommendation around handballs following that CL final penalty!

Yeah, I cant argue with that.
Though I have ZERO interest in that Nations League waste of time thing. Only partly cos my lot got relegated straight off. The older I get the less I care about international football. I still like the tournaments but the qualifiers and the incessant number of meaningless friendlies have long since lost any interest for me. Even the tournaments are being ruined as they are expanded. The last Euro's with 3 teams getting out of some groups meant sides played for a draw or damage limitaion, rather than being in the **** or bust category. Expanding the WC will similarly ruin it.

Agreed on players in a wall. Unusually smart from FIFA.Some of the other rules just make no sense to me. In that I literally don't understand what the explanations mean.

Some of those rules are a good thing, the goal kick not having to go outside the box is a good one. The best one of all is the subs having to leave the pitch at the nearest point to stop time wasting.

The hand ball rule is about as clear as mud though. It's basically up to the ref!

I never understood what was wrong with the old fashioned "deliberate handball" rule. Everyone understood it, no need for this 'unnatural position' nonsense, I think it's pretty obvious (especially with VAR replays) whether a player means to handle the ball or not. It looked to me like Sissoko was signalling to his team to cover him, not sure how else he could do that without pointing!

The thing for me when a penalty is given for a hand ball like that, is that the crime doesn't fit the punishment. If sissoko had been in the 6 yard box and blocked a certain goal, then yeah you can say penalty. Seems a bit of a shame to me. Why they can't say free kick inside the box like for a pass back, have the same for accidental hand ball.

Yeah I agree that would make more sense. A penalty is too harsh a punishment for most offences actually. They make sense in high scoring games like basketball or rugby, but in a sport where matches often finish goalless they give too much of an advantage.

That's England out! It's amazing what can come from an amazingly easy world cup draw........

If anybody has ever wanted to know what it's like being a Spurs fan, it's exactly the same as supporting England

It's even more amazing how Holland have ended up in a final considering they haven't even qualified for the last couple of major tournaments!

Yeah Holland are poor, probably the worst Holland team in my life time. That's another trophy for Ronaldo on Sunday.

Hazard signs for Real. That will Chelsea well and truly fooked unless they can get that ban over turned and sharpish.
He scored most fo their goals and set up most of the others. There is a hell of a lot of weight on Pulisic's shoulders already. He needs to pick up where Hazard left off or Chelsea will struggle.

Yeah watch Real Madrid hoover up loads of ready made suoerstars this summer. Hope they take Pogba! Think they have changed their mind on him, they have probably realised he is the most overated player in the world.

I wonder if they'll get Eriksen, TBH I think he had a pretty poor season (along with most of our players) so I bet Levy will be kicking himself he didn't cash in on Alli, Eriksen, Trippier, Kane etc when they were hot property.

They have spent £250m already so I suspect any more purchases will have to be backed up by sales of unwanted players. Bale being the obvious choice but no one is daft enough to pay big money for him AND pay him 400k a week (after tax). Though if Utd haven't signed anyone by the last week of the transfer window I would put money on Ed Woodward panicking and throwing £80m Real's way.
The fact Utd do not need ANOTHER left sided attacker. Especially not one who is massively overpaid and has underperformed for the last year, will obviously not register with auld Ed.

I'd happily sell Eriksen if we could have Bale back! Well the 2013 Bale anyway, no idea if he's still any good

I would love Eriksen at Old Trafford, think he is class. Mind you compared to what we have he is! As for Bale, if Utd sign him I give up on life completely.

I'm sure we've all noticed the increased coverage of the women's game, the World Cup is on, there are more female presenters and pundits commenting on the men's game and we're told women want to be taken more seriously......then the BBC, who are at the forefront of my of the above, publish this headline :?
