A real shame, PhantomShadow was a longstanding member here and a decent guy

I dont know what to say, im floored by the news.
I had a few PMs on the go with Andy recently re that nuts ERG focus of his, he was always
slagging me for not going after LXW key chains and LXW dinky toys the way he did for ERG.
Talk about commitment to a focus 8)

Thats a very sad story to say the least, he used to post on here quite a lot a while ago.

My thoughts go out to his family at this awful time.

As a small tribute this is the pic i could find of his tremendous focus:

I didn't know him, but I feel really sad about this.

Makes you ponder your own mortality also.
 
Really sad news :( I know some of the guys knew him well and this must be especially hard.

I remember laughing at Andy and Dave Tree mocking each others ERG's/Bend-ems in various threads.
 
Very sorry to hear this. :( According to the stats he last visited here on April 4th, 3 days ago. Makes you think.

I had never met andy in person, but had spoken through the forums.

He was always helpful, and came across as a great guy.

What awful news. Can't believe it.
I remember Andy posting a lot in the early days of me joining the forum and
there was always banter flying around.

My thoughts are with his family and friends at this terrible time.
 
Sad news indeed. I never had any contact with Andy, but do remember seeing pictures of his focus and thinking it was amazing. I offer my condolences to his friends and family.

Andy bought a figure off me a while back (Yes a Emperors Royal Guard) and was a great guy to deal with!!

I remember telling him someone else was interested in it, but he casually informed me he needed it more than them and who should he make the cheque payable to!! :)

Really sorry to here this bad news.
His was one of the first focus collections i saw. A fantastic ERG collection.
Just like to pass on my condolences to his family and friends.
 
It is very sad.

Met him a few times and really liked the guy.

A great loss for the collecting community, but such a tragedy for his family
 
Andy was a top bloke and a true asset to the collecting community, which will be sorely missed.
I'm deeply saddened by his passing and I wish his family and friends all the best for the coming days and months ahead.

Very sad news :(

Knew him more from Imperial Outpost days. In addition to his Emperor's Royal Guard focus he collected other items and had a good all round knowledge of toy collecting.

His rants about Parcelforce / Royal Mail were always a good read and he always had a thing or two to say about 12" figures especially Sideshow.

We used to exchange occasional PMs about ebay tip offs.

Never met him in person and unfortunately never got to see the Andy/Darren double act in action at a show.
 
I only met him once, but new him well at IOP, I am gutted that the week i start getting back into collecting, which i am starting to get the buzz for, this happens :cry:
 
Very sorry to hear this news. Like a lot of people here I was impressed by Andys collection. It is such a shame to have lost some one in this sad way.

I wish all his family and friends well.
