Is there any downside to accepting a payment from paypal rather than ebay?

I have just accepted a price from my old camera and the buyer using paypal rather than through ebay.

In the note he added "excellent condition" although I stated "very good" condition in my ebay description.

Chargebacks are only applicable if you pay by cradit card - right?

Will it state somewhere that a credit card has been used to pay?

Paypal and ebay are the same thing in terms of financial protection. They work hand in hand. Either or, you are protected the same way.
If you accept or send a gift payment however, that is a different story.

you are not protected from chargebacks if you just use paypal, if you use ebay they cover you for chargeback protection too.

you can chargeback from any card, but credit cards can be charged back for longer periods like 6 months ago ect.

if you pay via paypal goods it stipulates you are covered for non-receipt and not as described claims only!
