Paypal F**KIN suck!

When I'm dealing with someone on Evil bay I empty my PP account as soon as they pay. I don't know if it's true or not, but I remember hearing that if you have a zero balance and PP find against you (as they almost always do) they debit your account but as it's empty it just means that you have a negative balance and you have to pay that off before you can use it again. You then close that account/never use it again, and set up another one. That way they never get your money.

Never had to use that, but I always empty my PP account in case.

For the record, as hopefully most you will know, I'm not a cunty scammer and wouldn't dream of keeping someones money if there was a genuine problem with an item. I just do that to protect myself from getting scammed by the legions of cunts out there. Lets face it PP don't really give a **** who gets shafted, they just want the money.

You are correct. If you empty it, they can not touch your actual bank account. Downside is you have to set up a new email and use a different charge card or they catch on and stop you.

You'd have to remove your bank details too. I've thought of this one but it has one draw back. If you really want someone to go **** themselves then do just that, remove all fund from your paypal account and delete your bank details from the account too. Paypal will then not be able to take any money from you. The problem is with this is you will no longer be able to use that account (as far as i can see). You should be able to open a new account but you will probably need new bank details. Definitely a new email (obviously). So it is in extreme circumstances only that this method should be used.
If you really don't sell that much and aren't in a hurry to be selling again then why not. Just set up another account in a couple of months with new details. If you're like me and you use paypal every day then it's not really feasible.
I've never used this before or even suggested it cos like weasel says it could be used very dishonestly (tho only once or twice to be fair) but if you know for sure someone is trying to scam you out of money then this could stop them getting your money. Tho i'm fairly sure paypal will refund them anyway.

Bitten the bullet and gave him £60 back and swallowed the £10 postage.

Better than losing £120, or so I thought. Just received the pics from him amd most of them are undamaged, there'sonly one that is really damaged, it has a scratch on it!!

I was expecting ruined posters, no wonder the courier said it was deliveredin good condition. Funny that the expensive ones weren't damaged either.

Scamming C**T!!

You may be right. I very rarely use PP, so it's easier for me to do than for someone like yourself.
And yeah, they may get their money back, but it will be PP paying them from their own funds rather than yours! Which is almost as good as them not getting their money back.

sorry to hear this Bram.!

why dont we all order a poster from his website and then when it arrives scratch it slightly and request full refunds from pp. That will f**k him up!

Although I am gutted, I have learnt that if this is the way that people want to get ahead in life then so be it.

I would rather get it sorted and forget about it than fight these wankers.

Although I don't believe in Karma, I hope that one day someone does it to him.

Just checked that he's charging £100 per Yoda poster of which I sold.him 3 mint copies.

Oh well, moving on...

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Buy them, get them sent to the folks or the in laws or ur mates, and then when they turn up say they are damaged and demand a full refund!

Sorry to hear that Bram. There's only one way to sell on eBay I'm afraid - insist on insured postage. I refuse to send anything to people I don't know or anybody abroad without the full value declared and insured. If the postage cost is too high, that's their problem, I'd rather not sell it to them. Doing people favours always backfires as you've just found out.

Agreed and harsh lesson learnt... Hope he's happy!
