Guys,

Is the Palitoy solid belly Tauntaun rare?I havent seen one for ages on fleabay and id like to pick one up for my collection.

Cheers

Lee

Haven't seen one for a while too. But I don't know if they're that rare. About one and a half years ago Simon (DarthWensleydale) was selling a stickered one on a BIN for £69, but it took a few months before it was sold.

I don't remember either of mine being that hard to find - but it was a while back

Off the top of my head id say 1 in every 6 Palitoy Taun Tauns that hit ebay are the solid belly version.
To get a decent box with the Palitoy sticker placed over the Kenner logo is tricky enough.

Wow,really Marc? Ive recently bought 3 boxed Palitoy split bellys as thats all i can find.I havent seen a solid belly on there for ages.

Hey Lee, like anything, when you want something it goes all quiet then BOOM youre tripping over the damn things as soon as you land one.

Ill keep an eye out for you, 4 eyes and all that.

Yeah there defnitely hasnt seemed to be many around recently by the looks of it. Sure one will pop up soon enough!

Marc doesn't care because he probably has one

Wrong thread but might as well ask you here Marc, would you perhaps PM me or post in the display section how you store/display your larger cromalins? I know you have a few proof sheets and cromalins for your X-Wing focus so you would be the best man to ask - Can't find any "room" shots in your webshots, do you have them on permanent display?

Gary probably has 10

Joe, ive converted some A0 size acrylic sheets that i had originally intended for frames into a poster bin. A0 is just so damn heavy i didnt trust my 110+ year old Victorian terrace walls with that weight.
The poster bin is then full of A1+ poster sleeves that i got shipped in from the States so all my cromalins, proofs and movie posters are stored there.
When i want to see them i flick through them like in a poster shop, saves wall space too when you have cabinets and shelves in a small size room.

Ill take a snap for you.

Sounds great Marc! Mine would fit about an A1 sized portfolio, just expensive to ship over here so gonna hit the art shops to see what I can find, I also noticed its quite cheap to find A1 sheets like you mentioned so I might grab one of those as well just for a bit of extra protection, unfortunately framing is a way off so for the moment just looking to protect and store safely, don't forget that picture!

Sorry for the hijack Lee ;)

No dont apolgise Joe,Marcs collection is worthy as a hijacking technique :D .Thats a great idea with ways to display items aswell.Im looking forward to seeing some pics now :)

Thats a great looking TT Marc.Im assuming the Palitoy solid belly TT only came with a sticker over the Kenner logo and there isnt one with a printed logo?

Cheers lads

out of interest, what do people pay for the solid belly ones these days (and the split belly)?

Ive bought three lately mate.Got them for £23,£20 and £10-but ive never managed to find one with inserts etc,and obviously these are all split bellys.Im going to use one of the boxes as a framed box flat hopefully. Two are in very good boxes, and im more than happy with them.I missed out on a £95 sealed one a while back, which i think we can assume is being graded now-such a shame.

Im hoping to find a Solid belly sometime soon.

Cheers lee - they don't seem to have changed in price much. I don't remeber paying much more for my sealed one, just wondered if prices had gone up.

I'm after inserts for my split belly, and instructions for the solid belly - if it had any any?
