Palitoy slick seals.

What's the deal with the Palitoy slick seals? I think I'm right in saying that a lot of ROTJ MOCs don't display the waffle pattern on the seal. Are there any rules for this i.e. certain cardback types? I've got a slick Bib and I know he's not on the Toni ****-list, and he's not a square Tri-logo bubble either. Do they appear on SW oe ESB cards too?

If there's any rules-of-thumb, i'd appreciate any knowledge.

Yep- got some on ESB, both Pali & Kenner and none of them are Tonis. Palitoy also sealed their Action Force MOCs in a similar fashion.The Kenner seal tends to be more thorough and shiny (more glue?).

Joking aside, I have wondered the same thing as I have 2 Palitoys with a slick seal and 1 with a waffle.

For sure. I had a totally authentic 45b Cloud Car Pilot and currently own a 65c Luke Jedi, 65(can't rem back )Biker Scout and 65d Stormtrooper all with a non waffle factory seal.

Thas a good question to bring up I had know idea what figures on cards had this. Hopefully a list gets made up to help everyone. I have a carded ESB Han with one of these slick seals. At the start I had believed it was a Toni but now I am not sure.
Can there be slick seals on both Kenner and Palitoy cards?

I also once owned a Palitoy import Kenner 48 back Stormie with a black and white Palitoy sticker on the back that had a smooth factory seal too.

No, i only started to collect them once they had changed over to the Gi joe/action force characters so I've non of the earlier ones like red shadow or baron ironblood but have wanted some for ages. if you get chance id love to see some pics of some of yours sometime.

Worth keeping an eye on eBay for the HQ- I got one gorgeous myself and also one for my boys- both under £15 if I remember correctly 8)

Here are a few pictures of the seal on my ESB card under natural light. I am now unsure weather this is a Toni or not? At the start I was resigned to the fact that I had believed i bought one.
