Hi...as per the rules/instructions I'll introduce myself and give you a quick rundown of the history of this figure...and believe me it's a corker! I was asked by a friend of mine, in fact my oldest and bestest, to research a figure he'd plucked off the top of a box full of his old toys whilst he was in the loft doing something for his mum.

I struggled to find any info but eventually found out a little and came here to the valuation forum to see what you guys thought. In the meantime my friend had a nasty fall at work resulting in two broken legs and a nasty head injury. This happened just as I was getting ready to market and sell this figure. Now, we'll just call her the handbag lover but otherwise known as his wife...I don't get on with her seeing as we have the same bits and bobs and it's a problem for her!

Anyhow short story long her little eyes lit up and saw pound signs and new handbags and shoes! She took the figure and attempted to sell it on Ebay. Badly! I've reported her I felt that strongly as she was quite obviously playing tricks! Anyhow friend no longer in morphine and I've made my case, caused a massive row and now have both figure and control of sale. She is not, I repeat NOT aware of this! This figure has caused so much trouble lol and the way it's going may end in divorce LOL but not my problem, mine is to get this figure sold ASAP before she is aware it's missing! So..I don't want to go the Ebay route as my account is specific and it would stick out like a sore thumb, and seeing as you guys were so helpful initially I've decided this is where I'm going to offer it for sale hence why I'm here telling you the story.

So now on to the figure: the title pretty much tells you what it is, additionally I can tell you that it has the misprint Leichester instead of Leicester. It was also on the last run from the Hong Kong factory used by both Palitoy and Keller. It is slightly damaged. It has some creasing on the bottom of the bubble but still completely sealed. It also has some creasing on the card. Both from literally being shoved in a box and left for a good 30 odd years. I think that about co ere it but any Q's feel free to ask and if you need any more pics again plz feel free to ask :)

I'm whiskey, a massive fan and to be honest all I want to do is take it out and play with it. However, we have a big box of toys to go through when he's up to it and may (read that as probably) be back for more advice and possibly more to sell...all depends what's in the box. He was a spoilt only child and he vaguely remembers getting duplicates so there may even be some more carded figure in there, he knows for sure he has a Millennium Falcon in its box but played with so itching to get a look at that because I can play with it :D

Now because of the need to get this gone before the handbag lover discovers its missing and because the valuations were so differing is like to do this as a flash blind 48 hour auction basically whoever offers the most for it by 6pm Saturday 15th gets it. It will be posted on Monday Garuanteed signed for before 12pm. I'm not sure if this method is allowed so please let me know and I'll try and revise the price... So guys up to you lot now :)

Where are you based mate - as much as I am sure your story is 100% genuine - perhaps the safest thing would be for a SWFUKer to meet you can collect it if nearby

A blind flash 48 hr auction? With that back story.

If I'm wrong and I cost someone a Grail piece then I will never post on one of these threads again but I'm going to say now I don't believe you. The whole story and ebay auction stinks like a rotten fish.

If you want to sell this item I would suggest the best and least fishy way to do this is to put a price on it and then allow people to see it. I don't think your previous posts have done your reputation any good.

Can I ask you a question. What are you getting out of this. its technically not yours to sell.

I'm in Ipswich everything I've posted is absolutely true! Stick whiskeysmoker in google you'll find me! Facebook me Iona Woods. I'm not sure what you mean by seeing it I've posted pics..and as for what I'm getting not alot...originally I was I'm it for 50% but now we've agreed tht our proceeds are going towards a trip home to Scotland when he's up to it to visit my Dad. I'm
Not offended by your posts and TBF if you don't believe me that's fine...I'm a big girl and its a shrug if my shoulders...any more Q's...pic taken just now in dark so you can see date and time! It's real I'm real...and if you guys are not interested I can pull it and go elsewhere...no akin off my nose just seeing you lot were so helpful initially I came here first!

hahaha I'm from Ipswich and if I was still in the UK then I would have been happy to go down as get this for someone (or maybe even myself)

You have to see it from our point of view, the items was offered on here - then appeared on eBay - then came down of eBay and your story has been somewhat elaborate

Still - giving us your name (and a quick search gives a location of Belstead, Ipswich) is a good start - lets hope you can sort something out

Actually I'm smack in the middle of town by the college. But used to live on Chantry so if you're from Ipswich you'll know both :) I was following the rules about introducing and explaining where and how this figure came about. Leeboards it may have been blame my education but true it is! I've no reason to lie all I have to do is get this bloody thing sold. I may not have been offended but I am peed off somewhat...eBay posting was by the wife after she forcibly took it from me and yes by that I mean handbags at dawn almost came to blows! More elaboration for you guys. Beginning to think its bloody cursed and am now tempted to open the bloody thing and give it to my grandson seeing as he is also a Star Wars freak! I'm done explaining myself my offer still stands as is and if no response then that's fine I can always go elsewhere. Just not Ebay...I sell antique jewellery in my account so this is not something I would sell from my account. And with that I'm done!

Hi.

Never said I didn't believe you had the item. I just thought the backstory seemed fishy.

Anyway, I will happily stand corrected. You have to appreciate this will probably sell for a reasonable amount of money. Letting the community know who you are is a good way of gaining some trust.

I still think your best bet is naming a price and negotiating from there, but ultimately its up to you. Best of luck with the sale. This forum is a very good place to sell and I'm sure if our friend Iain was still living in this country he'd be on his way round as we speak.

You say name a price. In the valuation page the quotes went from one end of the spectrum to the other. Therefore of I was to split the difference or avg it out I have a feeling the figure would be too high. That's why I did it the way I did. I have absolutely no idea what to sell it for! So if you have any idea plz feel free to PM me...

I just don't buy this at all, item finished on E-bay to a zero feedback bidder.who has only ever bid on this item....and now it's back for sale here because Mr shill obviously never paid...

I'm oooot, everyone else proceed with caution!

Just for the record....it was never offered for sale on here until now. I asked for a valuation, got it and passed that on. I then as a favour (bad decision) posted the Ebay link on the correct forum. What happened as far as Ebay was concerned is not of my doing. I then got both control and the figure back. This is when I offered it for sale here...on this forum! Just want to make that all clear...I am genuine and any fishiness is not of my doing. Now please let that be the end of it...whether you believe me or not the fact is I have this figure for sale.

This all seems unnecessarily difficult, take a picture of the item, name your price and wait for a seller

Makes sense to me to do it this way and remember to scale the photo to fit on the page.

Best of luck with it - Ian

How can this be so difficult??

You were told some of the valuations you were given were way too high. You've had an open competition on ebay so if take out the high shill bidder you know what the under bidder would pay so thats your new maximum.

Knock something off due to the fact that the obvious shilling now means that some people won't go near this item with a barge pole, and you're sorted. Take best offers if you want.

Stop with all the stories. No one cares.

And resize that ****ing picture ...

So obvious that greed got in the way of the sale of a decent item and as a result, your going to get much less than you would have.

Well your rudeness just killed it! I have other avenues that I will now explore. This item is no longer for sale on this forum. Could a MOD please delete this thread.

Lol don't make me out to be the bad guy. If you haven't already had enough offers by PM to sell it you never will. 8)

I would suggest you are correct sir, and that there are serious offers currently in the offing.

Hopefully if one of the forum members was seriously after this piece they had a shot at it, but good luck dealing with the seller.

Do not care what he was selling, I would not buy it.

It is painful enough reading this thread let alone sending £600 over to this guy and waiting for a figure to show up.. No thanks..
