Hi,

New to this forum but having done a bit research the swf.uk forum seems to be the best place to start.

A work colleague has brought in today what I would class as "mint" in box Palitoy Land Speeder, but I know "mint" can mean something different to others.

The original tape is still evident on the box but it has been cut, the speeder is still held in place with the original cardboard insert. There are some very slight marks on the box but it is not ripped etc.

Where is the best place to i) get it valued and ii) to sell it as my colleague is happy to sell it?

Thanks in adavnce

Firstly, welcome.

Secondly, the Palitoy Landspeeder is quite sought after. In the condition you describe I'd say £150 - £200. You 'might' get more on ebay but remember the fees.

A picture paints a thousand words as they say, so if you can post a pic, this will give us all a better idea.

Cheers

A used landspeeder with a decent box and inserts (but not mint) seems to fetch about £120 or so on ebay.

If yours is unused I'd say a decent amount more than that would be possible.

It all depends on how sharp the box is. They're tough to find 'mint'.

Yes, definitely - I'd pay a decent amount for one without shelf wear and with inserts/instructions/sticker sheet. Haven't got close to finding one yet though!

They never came with a sticker sheet, these were already applied - and no instructions either - just the toy and insert. I also understand the Palitoy insert differs slightly to the Kenner one.

Always loved the Palitoy Landspeeder, especially the box art.

Really? Dammit - well that explains why I never found one with the instructions!

Yep, true enough. One of the decals would have been superfluous anyway as the bonnet can't be opened, so I guess they decided to just ditch the sheet and preapply the decals.

Yes indeed as said v simple typical early Palitoy contents consisting of just the toy and insert.
Mint contents and box I have know to sell for £400 as it is indeed v tough to find this piece mint :!:
I was v fortunate to win an unused near mint box example this year for £200 :D
