Palitoy experts

I was thinking that. I got the opening bid in at £100. I know Gary got a 30a for a full palitoy set of bespin guards a year or so back. But the last few 30 backs that have been on ebay have been going for silly money. Maybe I need to rethink my next focus! :?

Actually it was a 30b. It cost me far more than that one on eBay, and my 30a cost me considerably more.

I can never understand palitoy pricing so i'm not even going to have a guess at what a full set would cost you, But, assuming you just went for ESB 30 back debuts, i reckon it would cost you far more than the palitoy 20!!!!

And be considerably harder to do...almost impossible by comparison
 
I remember when i first started collecting Star wars Figures in 1999 and saw a 30 back C3PO at a local collectors fair. The guy selling it wanted £165 pound. Just wished i bought now.
wanted a 12 back one so didnt buy it. What a idiot. :cry:
 
I saw a 30 back DSC for less than that at a show. Did I buy it?

Congrats Darth on the 12 back Luke - guess that completes your set then?! Was that more or less than you thought you would end up having to fork out for him?
 
I don't think the price was unrealistic. Nor for the WBG

I've heard of luke's going for £2500+ :shock:

Maybe a little more but it was worth it to complete the set. It looks like there are a few people after one.
 
Congratulations! That's the first 20 for you as well then! What next? I'm thinking of giving 30 backs a wide berth in the current market!

I think we should get a thread going with all the complete palitoy sets
in one place. Would look cool...

I will post a limelight thread in the near future. As for whats next. Definitely no more carded figures for now other than the odd upgrade. I fancy a few more store display type items and at least a Palitoy die-cast x-wing but no rush on those.
