ask for a refund of the excess postage!

or tell the guy that the item was damaged (if its worth over £32) and tell him to take it back and claim off royal mail...that will piss him off as he will lose money.

Try living miles from anywhere  Postage is always crazy for me.(Probably worse for Josh) I have seen sellers attempt to justify their costs with: it pays for packing material, fuel to the post office etc. etc. But as a buyer it does suck. What shits me the most is sellers that charge $2 extra per figure for example, regardless of what the postage costs are

i was going to buy some figs of a guy on ebay but he wanted 2gbp for every other figure added to the parcel....i told him to get screwed and bought of another seller with free shipping

posted you luke today the cost was 2.37 so you owe me 37p

The Mrs recently bought a necklace and the seller charged her £9 postage.

It came with a large stamp on it lol (we pressumed it would be special delivery)

The bitch (seller not the Mrs) wouldn't refund her the difference, luckily the chain was cheap so made up for it.

I don't mind anyone making a £1-1.50 on postage but it annoys the **** out of me when you get ripped off.

I'm finding a lot of sellers are charging for special delivery, but sending items out recorded, that bugs me too!

And after a comment like this you gotta pay the man slim! It's ok though, he takes cheques!

I think now days you can expect to pay a pound or two over the price of the actual shipping which is fine with me. What gets me though is people making alot of money out of shipping, I recently had a guy ask for £40 for shipping for a poster from Turkey which is outragous. To be fair though I dont always go to the post office to find out how much postage will be, its too much hasstle. If I can find the average of the postage from other sellers I normally base it on that, sometimes it works out, sometimes I knock myself for 50p-£1.00. If its overseas I usually get a quote.
