outbox messages

Hi sorry if I have put this in the wrong place, just a quick question about pm's. if I pm someone and the outbox shows as I have a number next to the outbox bit, does that mean the recipient has the message or not? if you understand what I mean.

It's unread. Once it's been read the number will disappear. The number is the number of unread messages.

oh right I see thankyou mate I appreachiate that, was thinking my messages were not getting through.

A couple of times i have had a message in my outbox that i decided to delete as unread, so if i delete it while its still not read will they see it ? As once i got an email saying i have an unread message but when i logged in it was gone.

I thought if you deleted whilst still showing in your out box ( therefore unread) that the PM doesn't go, bit like a recall, but I may be wrong.

Also if your a nnumpty like me keep an eye on your message limits as if you go over the messages show in outbox but won't go anywhere until you delete some of your old sent messages, again I may be wrong though :?

as far as i know if you delete the message it doesnt go but depnds on the forum code, Edd will answer if it still drops into the other users inbox.

but yes if it is unread it will show as a number next to the outbox.

If you delete it before it gets read, it will still show in their inbox but will say that the message was deleted by the sender.
