Was just wondering what you guys do on your free time :)
Should it be a pint or coke in the local or walking to the North pole when cold enough :)
I was just wondering what you guys get up to :?
I myself have been climbing and walking to altitude which is hard. I know there are runners here but was wondering what else everyone gets upto?

Or would anyone else like to try an adventure

I go scuba diving, but I haven't been for a couple of years (since my wife got pregnant). She's more into it and better than I am. I was just sorting the gear out the other day.

I also do a bit of clay pigeon shooting, and play poker. I used to play loads before I got married.

Oh, and I have a Star Wars collection.

Yep, I'm one of those running types.
20 marathons in 359 days between March 2015 and 2016. I'm not very good at it, just dogged determination to keep going and not give up. Having said that I'm now carrying a slight niggle that means I won't be running London Marathon, I will though be cheering many friends on Tower Bridge next Sunday.

Outside of that and Star Wars collecting I have an interest in Art, I studied at Uni but lapsed for years and years before more recently picking up pencils and paint again... mainly actually models and customising toys, but ever practicing to get the drawing skills back up.

That's class would love to do a marathon sometime thats some going doing 20  you are a man of steel :) Most people are happy with 1 :) have you any more big ones planned :?: I watched those guys doing the Sahara marathon have you ever seen that?

I love the scuba diving myself and have done the open water certificate. In a warmer climate :) Where do you dive? I would say it's good around the south of England. Water is cold enough in Ireland but alot of ship wrecks around it so it's interesting.

I did my advanced open water cert and then switched to bsac. We are members of Brighton bsac so have done a bit off the south coast. It will be difficult over the coming years as the rampion wind farm gets built, perpetrating the lie of renewable energy and destroying the sea bed as well as the view. I have also dived off the Florida keys, the uae and Croatia.

The Mrs has been all over the world and can do technical diving. She can go down to 60meters and use twin sets and mixed gasses and that sort of thing.

There is an amazing wreck of key largo called the Uss spiegel grove. That's my favourite place by a long way.

Nice. Those escorts are getting pretty rare now. You see a few sierras about but not so many escorts. Please tell me you are restoring it with the whale tail back on.

I've been into Astronamy over the past 10 years on and off, find it hard getting out at night with a young family, plus I'm up early 7 days a week because of work. Used to do a lot of Carp fishing when I was a teenager, going to try and get into that again soon hopefully. Thinking about it I just get drunk on my own at home now and watch Football!

I know a few guys that have completed Marathon des Sables; I'm not good in the sun though so I've ruled myself out even before thinking about the multiple days of marathons!
Big events this year are off the table, I did Paris and Rome last year and New York the year before. My bank account as well as my legs need a break!

I always like hearing other people's interests in sports and hobbies. All that sort of stuff you guys do appeals to me. Was actually thinking of trying that krav Maga sometime.
Before I got married I back packed alot around the world that's my first love adventure :) And reading about autobiographies of other people's adventures like Scott, Shackleton and Ranulph fiennes.
I used to play alot of football and to fill the void took up rock climbing. Progressed on to winter mountaineering and i try to get over to Scotland once every year in the winter to climb. Have a wee lad now so didn't get this year.
The highest I have got so far is around 6000 meters. Have done that a few times last one was Mt Elbrus in Russia. Met a few guys from England on the mountain and they helped me make the top. Don't think would have made it solo. It took about a week to get up and down safely. There's still a small flame burning to see if I can climb higher :? But I will put that on the back burner for now until the little lad finds his feet.
And on the marathon des Sables I remember watching jack Osbornes personal trainer trying it on tv. It nearly finished him and he was fit.
My neighbour up the road rebuilds old cars I think he has an escort but not sure. Cars wouldn't be my strong point. But I have seen them and they are mint I can't imagine how much he has spent over the years.

The gym and diet has taken over most of my life. I got into it about 5 years ago when I started seeing one too many photos of myself I wasn't happy with. After a couple of years bashing away at the weights, I realised without top genetics or gear, I wasn't going to have that perfect chiseled look most men would want. So I switched to Powerlifting as I was pretty strong on several lifts.

I travel regularly (been to over 100 cities around the world) and am a keen photographer. I have had several photos printed in magazines. I dabble on the guitar, scuba dive, draw, play chess, make Youtube videos, even fired several weapons at a Las Vegas gun range.

I'm slowly building a collection of the 'British Film Institute' Blu-Rays and the American 'Criterion Collection' Blu-Rays. Any other members collect these? The Criterion are quite expensive, and though the Pound is quite healthy against the Dollar at the moment, I lose what I have saved on the Postage :x A familiar story I'm sure for SWF.UK collectors buying from the States :!:
