I’m preparing the final text copy of my book and I’m making a last minute plea for people’s memories. Apologies that I don’t have time to contact everyone who has sent in memories previously – I’m right up against it for time.
I’m looking for as long a quote as possible on one or all of the following;
1: Do you have fond memories of a particular piece of Star Wars merchandise 1977 – 83, including non-action figure items?
2: Did you read the UK comic or the Sunday magazine comic strip and have a particular favourite story? Did you think that it was the official Star Wars story?
3: Were you shocked or disappointed at seeing The Empire Strikes Back? (of course it has become everyone’s favourite in hindsight but it wasn’t so hot in 1980).
4: Do you have memories of listening to the original broadcast of the Star Wars radio programme in 1981?
5: How did you keep yourself going as a fan in-between the film releases, when it was impossible to see the films (except perhaps for the old super-8 films).
6: Did you construct any of the Star Wars model kits?
7: Were you inspired by the Star Wars trilogy to do anything in your life – such as something creative, your job, general outlook on life, etc.
