Morning, before I started collecting small expensive stuff, I did collect large expensive stuff, any member here a bmx collector?

Not a collector, but I do have an old BMX in the garage. Its like Frankensteins bike, cobbled together from random parts. The two most interesting are the frame, which I believe is a Homeless Mack 2, and the saddle, which is a Hoffman Evil Knievel. I am not sure if either are particularly collectable, and should probably do something about it at some point.

Jr Chubb is a collector and is currently putting together a vintage bmx, he would be interested if anything was going. He is also on a bmx forum so I'm sure he will have something to say.

I use to own a Mongoose Decade but not sure if that holds any kudos :)

Its more new school your bike and more important is the fact that's it sounds like your own personel bmx from your childhood and you can't buy that kind of love,I've had them all from vdc changa to kuwahara et and a few haro gen 1s but I wished ide kept my supergoose 3 you can't better your own bike from your youth!

Nice bike a mongoose decade its realy the frame from the california wich ended when they brought that out in 1985 i think, well if chubb is building a rider he will know the money on theese have gone through the roof 3 years ago a kashimax aero 80 notes now 250 and everything hutch through the roof, you can only keep so many vintage bmxs before it starts pissing of the wife and that's why I like the rare star wars carded stuff ,you can easily collect and she is none the wiser as it fits in a small cuboard !!! My names jason pleased to meet you :D

Love the old school BMX's. First bike was a Murray something or other. After that I had a Tange ARX (I think that's what it was). Almost all the bikes that were floating around at school with mates were complete Frankensteiners. At one point I had a Raleigh Mustang with a BMX wheel on the front :p

Yes Tange ARX nice old school bike,Tange made most if the high end bmx bikes,if you flip over a kuwahara the serial starts with a T and that the is Tange and if it said T2 your on a kuwahara et, also Tange made the best bike raliegh never made the raliegh aero products burner wich is the same as the ARX, anyway thanks I'm jason please to meet you

Mine was a blue and yellow Rayleigh. I was gutted whem my Dad gave me a chopper to ride. I refused and got the BMX after a good while. This chopper must have come from a tip!

The one thing I remember about the Tange the forks kept coming loose. Threads were stripped on the head.

The white and blue Burner was an awesome iconic bike. Beautiful :)

I live round the corner to the old Vincent Frames workshop.

Now that was a cracking uk team I still see a few of the guys and Katie, Bernie Vincents daughter is remaking Airzone frames to order.

The RadRides book is a great read of vintage rides if anyone hasnt got it.

This is a BMX brand I'm involved with. its a rider owned company that's been going for a couple of years with a mix of old & new guys
