Your all gonna kill me but i have had to start thinking about selling the army.
To be honest this is something i dont want to do but , honestly i am broke and although i am working i may need to free cash up for the short term.

but my main question is the value of the army as it is in the photos??
i have added about 40 more figure since and weapons.
I know lots or individual is better but i am looking for a ball park?

Also if any of the other folks who have sold up and got back into it later have any advice let me know..
i love collecting and to be fair this lot took me a year to put together,, and i will do it again,, but for now i might have to sell the bulk. :(

link to collection. http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8377

oh and i think i will keep some ,, especially the peroxided ones.

Snowtroopers: (i've never bought one of these cos they are difficult to find cheap, white and with original accessories and i don't trust ebay for the authenticity of the skirt)

Mint: £12+
Good, white, undamaged skirt etc: £8-10
Average, sightly yellow: £7-8
Yellow: £4-5

If you have any Death Star Commanders they can fetch decent money if in very good condition. £10+

Without weapons only the Stormtroopers will sell easily and especially separately. Without weapons most of the other figures will sell better as "army" lots.

Hi Steve

I have has a lot of success selling the Stormies on ebay in bunches of five - however, in all honesty there might be a temptation for you to sell them in one or two big lots.

I think that there is massive demand for these Imperial Armies and I would not be surprised if it fetched a fair bit of money.

My suggestion would be to seperate all of the C8+ figures and tie put them together with genuine vintage weapons. I would then list the rest as one or two lots set out in a diaroma like you have in your pictures. I think that these will sell for £100+ each. Once these have sold then I would list the individual ones seperatly but so that they all end on the same day (leave five mins in between each one so that buyers can get to all of you auctions)

Sorry to hear that you are selling up - I know the feeling of having no cash (in fact I am pretty broke myself at this very moment in time) - I am sure that you can hang on to a couple of the sentimental ones and then get started again once cash becomes available.

Cheers
Iain

Thanks Iain

Yeah some of your 5 sets have done amazingly well.

I intend on keeping my shuttle and one or two of the each figure and when I have more cash starting it all over again.

And strangely it's weird but I reckon it will be easier the second time around and all the fun again.
plus I will stay on here talking shite and watchin the banter .

Cheers steve

Thanks man

yeah , its nothing major , just a lot of bills that need to be cleared, and i am a person who hates owing money.
I am lucky to have never bought a house or new car but even small things hanging around my neck annoy the crap outta me,
so i have 77 stormies which will go up here first then if no joy ebay.

I am not getting out but just taking a break.

Hey i have been working hard on getting everything photographed and to be honest it is not fun,, and a strange sad feeling.

i will be keeping my favourites combined with my 2 moc's and childhood figures,, oh and the shuttle.

However by wednesday the lot will be listed on here and then probably ebay.
but as someone has already said it would be better to keep them in the family :)

i know i will put them all back together when i sort out the cash flow situ, but thanks for all the support, you guys really are a great bunch.
and i will still be around on here. Talking crap.

those who PM'ed me already i am putting together your wishlists and trying to figure out fair prices etc.
steve

Sorry to read this Steve :(

The good thing is theres plenty more Stormtroopers in the sea, so dont think you wont be able to get them back mate.

Best of luck with the sales dude 8)

 i have 5 thrashed decks in the spare room and tbh about €80 for the lot if i was lucky,,,,i have already sold my mountain bike at £850 which nearly sorted me out.

when a guy like me sells his bike before his stormies you know something is up

Hey while looking through the troopers i found this trooper on the right?
He is chunkier than a normal one and the plastic looks,,, ehhh,, greasey (is that a useful description)
