Hi folks, i was playing a spanish version of a star wars arcade game and playing the hoth mission took me back to my youth, playing rogue squadron. However i had it on both n64 and gamecube. Has anybody played on either version recently? Im thinking of buying a console to play the game and im wondering which is the better version? Any help/opinions would be appreciated!
Thanks, Ed

:lol:

From what I remember I had both versions for both consoles and I still have the gamecube one somewhere :? (never get rid of the gamecube because I still have Resident Evil 4 :wink: ) and the one for the gamecube was better although both were an absolute bastard and I never completed either!

Yeah i never got close to finishing them, just played Hoth on repeat! I will have a look on ebay for a gamecube.... I presume they arent expensive?

I had both and still have the GC versions (1 and 2). The GC versions were better and I think I preferred RS 1 as it had less 'walking' sections, and I never could escape from the death star in RS2 - the very last thing to complete the game.

You are best of buying a Wii as they play GC games and probably don't cost a lot more - but Game Cubes look better :D

i remember playing it on the GC, quality game.

I have it on the N64 if you decided you wanted to buy one, its mint with carry case and 8 or nine games including goldeneye etc.

let me know

Andy

Goldeneye....now there was a classic game.
I actually bought another N64 recently & got a copy of Rogue Squadron to play on it. Played it two or three times, but i didn't find it as good as i remembered tbh.

Thats my fear, its also why im putting off buying Goldeneye..... Maybe the memory is better than the actual event... I will prob end up going for the Gamecube versions I think. Cheers lads

Goldeneye still stands up today - it's great :)

Even compared to CoD? I love level 2, with the silenced PPK..... the sound effects are amazing on that game. Oh **** it, il get an N64 and a Gamecube :lol:

you still have time :wink:

to whet your appetite pick yourself up a SNES and play the Legend of Zelda, then a gameboy and play link's awakening, - then buy Plant's N64 and play Zelda Ocarina of Time - the greatest game ever made.

I used to love rogue squadron on the n64, and shadows of the empire. Really annoying that roque squadron is one of the few games nobody can seem to make run on an emulator!

you need a real N64 Edd - I got mine for a fiver from a boot sale, complete with Zelda and Goldeneye :D
