Newbie questions! Beware :D

Well!

I have recieved most of my recently bought items and all looks great! Nothing loks bogus so far but thats what ya get when buying stuff from legit members in here

But, now I have started to look on ebay and other places and some fakes are easy to spot but some others aint!

Give me some Quick guidelines on what to look for when spoting fakes!

Some questions from my part, and dont get upset if they are dumb! Im still learning!

1. Is the weapon allways taped inside the bubble of most figures?

2. Are there alot of variants to a weapon on a char? Bougth a greedo with a blue blaster in a baggie, sealed and all but seen alot of pictures of moc greedos with black weapons. Come in many variants?

3. When it comes to collecting the vehicles etc, how much its the box worth when you look at an overall condition of an item?

4. NIB/NRFB/MIB!? Three different variants of the same or is there some sort of difference if those Words were to be used!?

5. Restoring of vechicles! Is it ok to get original inserts, stickers etc and completing stuff that got those missing or should one leave it as it is? (No repros, vintage original stuff of course).

1. No they are not. Some original moc are the weapons taped other theys are not.

2. There is a lot of weapon variants.

3. I would say most of the time, the box is more worth than the item. If the box is great or nice.

4. :?

5. I would never use repro stickers or remove original stickers from a sheet. I have removed carefully stickers from a damaged vehicle and used them on a vehicle I was restoring.
But I don't think there is any rules. Do what you want to do :wink:

i can tell you return of the jedi tri logo cards never had taped weapons they were always loose in the bubble. this was one of my first questions when i joined lol

NIB = New in box.
NRFB = Never removed from box.
MIB = Mint in box.

They all generally say the same, but mint in box usually means it's sealed untouched and in off the shelf condition. Always ask and never assume the condition of a piece, especially expensive ones.
