Hi forum.

Recently picked up the quest to have a complete collection. Purchased the original 79 as starter, loose. Was thinking about recarding and wondered what the forums feelings are. Would never sell as anything other than recarded, infact its only for me anyway so not thinking about reselling.

Anyone know where I can get a collections worth of blisters? Purchased the CD with the card images on....

Any advice on this would be great.

Cheers,

Aye I think Mr Smith summed it up really mate, quite frowned upon by most collectors, not just here.

Good luck, won't knock you for doing it if it's what you want as it's really up to you but we are the wrong people to ask for help sorry.

As Joe says, not our bag mate.

Most on here will stay away from anything recarded including discussing how to go about it.

Good luck

appreciate the honesty all, I'm just not flush enough at the moment to fork out 40+ per figure....Maybe one day.

But in the meantime I just wanted to have the collection as a lookpiece. I'm a sincere fan but on a budget ;)

IF I were to ever resell would never pass them off as anything other than what they are.

Cheers all though.

Hi mate many of us here are on budgets.

Clear bubble 100 per cent original can be picked up for less than 30 pound. By the time you buy fake bubbles card ink print and all the other bits and bobs needed to create fakes you could amass a genuine collection believe me many of us have done it. It just requires patiance, networking and some savvy saving / buying.

The whole recard route is just a cop out for those not willing to invest the time needed to be a collector. Even if your budget is 6 pound a week that's 1 genuine moc per month and 12 in just a year.

And unless you invest a good outlay of cash they look total crap, i was doing my own but was never happy with the results so packed in doing it (which was to just preserve mine in the first place).

Stick to what these guys told ya or buy the cardbacks/bubbles from someone like yodashovel on ebay, theyre about the best ive seen but dont be expecting to sell them on as originals, there are always differences.

have you seen there is a bloke on youtube who shows you step by step how to recard.......

DarthBeer? Nope never heard of him 8)

There are places you can go to get the supplies you need....but several collectors have nicely asked that I support the true hobby by not offering these up so willingly.
