Hi everyone, its been ages since I last posted!
I imagine it has been covered here already but..... It looks like John Kellerman is doing a second print of his Star Wars guide, but this time with extra content! I missed out on the first one but I sure as hell wont miss out on this one!!! Found it for about $80 including shipping to the UK, or about the same as the first edition missing its dust jacket, off ebay!
Thought id share the joy folks :p

Is the Kellerman book a better option than the Jeremy Beckett 'Official Price Guide to Star Wars Memorabilia'?
I've been wanting to pick up a "guide" and wasn't sure which was better, tho the Beckett book is a LOT cheaper...

Chalk and cheese, seriously, if you have any interest in vintage SW this book is the dogs bollox.

I think the Kellerman book is mainly about carded figures, the Kellerman Matrices lists the combinations of card backs and card fronts with offers etc etc etc. I personally haven't read it but from what I can gather it really is the Uber Gospel for MOC collectors...... I can't wait :D
Becketts book is a great book, with some interesting info on pre production and creating action figures. Its lacking fine detail though- there are loads of sections on all aspects of collecting star wars, but, each section leaves you wishing for another couple of pages.
The price guide is trully terrible.... a completed search of ebay is much more useful.
Obviously this is only my opinion!

the serious collector rates this book highly and the updated version will add to that, but for collectors like me there's sufficient content online via RS ans Lando's etc 8)

Thats very true, the internet is a wealth of infomation. But, there is nothing better than having a book in front of you to thumb through, my eyes go square if im too long on here!

Interesting stuff. I may have to get both at some point.

I agree, Sabre, there's no real need for these books with all the on-line info here and at RS. I just wouldn't mind one for home browsing entertainment... 6 or 7 times a day...
