This is a long shot but i know some of you are gamers. My questions are about Shift 2. An absolutely brilliant but VERY unforgiving game. So here goes...
First of all has anyone played it? What do you reckon?
Secondly, can anyone tell me how do you know which cars you need for each race?
I've stuck with Shift 2 for ages. It's bloody hard but quite rewarding once you get into tuning and setting up each car. My only issue is I do not fully understand the car class system. As far as I can see you have A,B,C & D performance classes. Then you have different things like EU, Jap, Muscle, Classic, Modern classic, Modern road and so on.
Now what gets me is car tuning. If you add a ****ing massive turbo or radically alter anything it puts the car in a different class. More power, for example, and a class C will become a class B. So you have to keep track on how far you go with mods. This is all fine and makes perfect sense. But for the most part i'm struggling to see exactly which car I need before I enter a race. It's only pure chance up to now. Some races seem to allow any performance class (ABC or D)so long as it fits with the type of race - for example 'Drift'. But i'm going in some races and have no available cars but cannot see what type of car I need. Obviously i'm missing something basic here. Can anyone explain?
Will modding your car too much exclude you from some races that you might have previously been eligible for. I think that's what i'm getting at. It's easy to see that if you're entering an EU race you are going to need an Audi or VW or whatever. But what if it's a crazy tuned up Audi? How do you know?
Cheers for any help
