mysterious white weapon

Hi, I have a white stick with a rectangle block at the top. there are 4 white bands around it near the bottom. Its about thigh height to the vintage star wars figures. Is it a star wars weapon? It looks like one. And its in a protective bag so I must have known what it was once!!
