Back in 1998 during the peak of my collecting, my dad asked me what I wanted for my 18th birthday, so I said a cardboard Death Star. When I told him how much it was gonna cost 'for a bit of old card' he was less than impressed. Anyway we still went about sourcing one, but it took us 2/3 Death Stars to get one decent one. We then sold all the other bits and covered most of the costs and was left with this.
Anyway approx 10 years ago I decided to part with all of my collection, which included approx 40 boxed items, and 80 moc figures. However I couldn't come to part with this as it was a present from my dad.
Well a few days ago I thought I would get it out of storage and set it all up, and it still looks great! So glad I never parted with it, and don't think I ever will!

Great that you didn't sell it - you definitely can't put a price on happy memories
Enjoy :D

Great story and a beautiful death star, cool that you knew about the death star in 1998. I don't think it was sold in denmark. So it was first in the 00 I learned about the death star from palitoy :D

Fantastic, I fondly remember having one as a kid, I will own one again one day. I do still have an Action Force one which is just as impressive if not as appealing.
