Hi everyone. Was wondering what you guys know about this fella, and generally why you never see any Clippers come up for sale. I don't want a value as that's obviously impossible because there're no sales to compare it to. No plans to sell it anyway unless I obviously have to come up with some ransom money if the wife gets kidnapped :D

I recently got all my cards out of lock-up to get hi-res photos for insurance and so I can look at my collection whenever I want.

I picked it up like all my cards, at toy fairs in the 90s. I didn't think much of the Clipper bit, just that it was a 12 back, so that made it rare. I bought 3 12 backs originally, and seemed to be quite lucky with unusual ones, although I didn't know it at the time - Vader on a white background, and a Takara Leia.

Well, if you feel that way, how about I let you kidnap MY wife if you let me have it...... :D

As we discussed via pm, this is certainly a grail piece for me as a Han Solo original collector, so congrats on having it. Most Clipper 12 backs exist in very small numbers.

Not sure on price either, don't often see these come up. I'd say £2000+ at a guess, but might be way undervalued.

Yeah not bothered about value, just that I have a rare card. Had the AFA population report, and am very happy

I was just curious to know something about this card back as I never see any discussions about them. Does anyone know of someone with a full run? I'd assume the person is in mainland Europe somewhere.

I don't know much about foreign cards, sorry. Plenty on here that do though. :)

Amazing item! I'd say around €2500. It's not the rarest clipper, but that still makes it rare!

Funny thing is that these foreign cards ended up in people's collections in the 90s and no-one really thought much of it - in fact, I understand that people were less inclined to purchase the 'foreign' cards than the more sought after Kenner one - how times have changed

It is a beautiful piece - thanks for putting up the pictures
