Moving as well..but not with Todd!

Moving from temporary accommodation to our own little house, only renting mind but it is a nice little place and somewhere we can hopefully call home for a good few years!
Only 30 mins up the road by car - going to be living in good old Chelmsford :mrgreen:

That's awesome. I imagine it's much cheaper out there. I wish i wasn't so attached to london. Was looking at flat prices this week. Prices start at £800 a month for a tiny studio flat almost too small to put anything in. 
Gonna be another year of hard work before i can afford somewhere liveable i think.
Gonna be another year of hard work before i can afford somewhere liveable i think.Ours is a 2 bed house with a garden and a garage for the same price as your postage stamp flat! Mind you, it's not in the town so you get a bit more for your money but yeah definitely not comparable with London.
Actually there are some shitty places for a bunch of cash here, the first place we went to see was in the town right by the station and it was 750 a month, it was 1 bed apartment in a dingy building which looked like a youth hostel. Bathroom had mould all over it and no window..it was also the first room you were greeted by when you entered the place so if you had just taken a huge dump before your guests arrived they would definitely pass out once you opened the door.
Lucky this place came up and it is in the perfect location for us, we can walk to town along the river in 20 minutes and there is a park, industrial park (pizza hut, comet, argos, tk maxx etc) and a big supermarket nearby too.
Very much looking forward to getting in and getting settled, all the best with the search for a place Pete! If your current business venture lets you stay at home for the most part then I would highly recommend moving out of London but staying close, would only put 30-50 mins on your journey if you wanted to come back in for family/friends/gigs etc and you would get so much more for your money.

Yeah i think it may be at least another year yet. Business is going really well but everything i earn is going back in. Will be a while before i feel i can start taking a grand a month out to spend on rent.
Certainly may have to look a little further out altho i'm already on the out-skirts of london. I don't know how much further out i can handle!

I agree with the BT issue. The last time i moved the line had to be flushed before i could get set up. It took 14 days!

How did you get on Joe? Moving is bloody stressful. I hope it all went relatively smoothly. I don't envy you and Todd. It'll all be worth it though I'm sure guys.

Phew! I don't want to do that again! We made it but we are still surrounded by boxes..got no fridge till tomorrow or washing machine..
On the plus side my landlady did come around with a bottle of plonk for us to welcome us in and this morning I got an eyeful of showery boobs from the neighbour over the road! No curtains here lol

I remember last year i was at my mates , he lives in an area populated with students.
It was dark and i was staying in his back bedroom , and i got an eyeful from a female student she had the light on in her back bedroom , curtains wide open, trying on various bras.
My mate said she was always doing it and he even coaught her watchin him.
