you'll struggle to get much better than that for a 5 year fixed. Try the Guardian's money pages they always give the best deals. But it sounds like you already have it. A non-high street building society might beat it slightly. Try the Britannia

ta. !!! :D

Do you need to borrow that much considering the price you got for your business and the house you are buying doesn't seem to need much work?

I know Barclays do a 10 year fixed rate but you have to pay a £1000 fee to get it plus their interest rate is probably higher than your current quote.

nah....

the business has sold for 55,000.......ive got 5,000 in savings and then the bills ive got to pay for the agents selling it, solicitors fees, buying a house , selling the business, stamp duty etc.. is all adding up to a bill of about 7,000 so ive got about 53,000..........iam putting 50,000 down on for a deposit and the house is 165,000 (knocked down from 180,000) so i need 115,000...

me and the wife both work (well iam in the middle of sorting out a full time contract with grimsby college-teaching) so our wages can cover £705 a month, the bills are going to be about 250 a month so once food is paid for i should be laughing.... both mine and the wifes jobs cover our petrol costs so thats not a problem....

plus iam in the begining stages of sorting out a new business venture !! :D

one of my younger brothers is going to be knackered when it comes to getting a house , by the time he's ready to settle down he will not be able to afford a shed ! but at the end of the day its swings and round abouts and it may all change in 10 years it might drop so far that houses are cheap again !!then house owners are the ones who are ****ed ! :x
