Seller was asked to pack in a box and if need be more shipping could be paid to ensure it reached its destination safely- seller said its ok its going in a box.

Couple of days later it arrives in an envelope..

Yep...:(

Seller IS on ebay but did work something out with them and they have no more vintage to sell (and aren't really up to speed on vintage at all) so I won't be outing them as I highly doubt anyone will run into them any time soon.

So guys, remember not only do you have to specify a box you also have to send a picture of one I reckon so they understand a box is NOT an envelope!

Well that's about as a wet fart in a space suit Joe, well gutted for you my friend

May well be worth sending them this link -

http://www.imperialgunneryforum.com/t2451-picture-guide-1-how-to-pack-a-vintage-star-wars-moc-safely-and-protect-the-bubble-using-the-starcase-method-pic-heavy?highlight=how+to+pack

I think I may knock up a similar guide to doing it minus the star case as not everyone has star cases available.

Yeah that back up link is a good one if you get a retarded seller - it's just the fact that they agreed to send it in a box and then didn't lol!

Ah well, win some you lose some, wasn't so expensive and got my money back thankfully!

That's bad. I had that happen to me with quite a rare Palitoy figure.

First it got sent to the wrong address in an envelope, then the person sent it to resealed in the same envelope.

Was not happy to say the least!

What an arsehole. That makes me so angry. I hope you told him what you think of him. I would have done!
So you did this "off ebay"? Can you put in a claim with ebay? I'd ask for my money back.

Got a partial refund from the seller Pete and sold the figure on cheaply to recover the rest of my money - so technically I got a refund (I am not out any money now at least)

The seller wasn't really interested in helping too much because it was apparently " on commission " and they were going to cut out their profit by partially refunding more than they offered (which was pretty low) they did say it could be sent back but only if I paid return shipping so figured reselling it was the easiest thing to do.

I think it might be an idea to tell these douchebag sellers not to send it until YOU send THEM a box to send it back in!! :|

I would have stamped on the faucker and then sent it back to him... But no, glad you got back what you spent on it. Not that that makes it alright.

The most annoying thing for me is not even the money, its the fact that it was almost perfect and now look at it. Just a waste!

Should out them, they probably show this much disregard for any dealings they do on ebay. You bought it because you recognised its quality, now its distinctly average at best.

****ing dipshit. Its really beyond me when people are so ****ing stupid, they send stuff like that.

It's really sad when you find a nice piece like this, take the precautions, and then still have something like this happen. Here's one more picture of the bubble after the fact. I still can't believe that after having asked for a box, that it still arrived in an envelope.

****in' hell Joe! Was the seller dropped on it's head at birth or is it the result of it's dad and dad's sister conception???

What is wrong with people??? I would've gone mental n claimed a PP dispute plus neg the ****!!

Like you say it's not even about the money but has ****ed a great (tho not my cup of tea figure-wise) piece of history because he has a brain all covered in ****!!!

Grrrrr ****in' retards!!!
