Supported united as a kid - just as a reaction against all the other kids who were liverpool fans! Liverpool had a great team in the 80's but I used to hate them at the time. I even remember being an Arsenal fan for 1 game in May 1989 :lol:

Great result yesterday for Pool, have seen the goals (but not the highlights, yet) but from what I read it was pretty comfortable.

Def something seriosuly wrong at Chelsea, but I'd be lying if I said I cared! They are buying every trophy they win, at least United, Arsenal and Liverpool won trophies through shrewd managerial/tactical selections and a bit of wheeler-dealering, Chelsea just go out and buy any half decent player who is available (and ruin half of them).

As for United vs Arsenal, I was in a win-win situation. if United won, we were 3 extra points ahead of Arsenal, if Arsenal won that meant United lost, and we were 3 points closer to the top of the table (don't think it'll happen but stranger things than Liverpool or Arsenal winning the league from where they currently are, have happened before).
When United went one up, I was cheering on Arsenal when they equalised I was cheering on the draw.

I guess it keeps it close and a bit more interesting than one team running away with it.

i'd rather liverpool or anyone win it rather than chelsea, i dont like the "buy the title" thing. i think it demeans our league... the fact some billionaire can just pump money in that the club hasn't earned and buy the title. i think it belittles teams and managers who spend 2 or 3 years building a team and then why bother , because chelsea will just buy who they want.

were you happy craig when there was all that **** about chelsea buying gerrard :?: did it help rafa build a solid team with stability with all the he's coming he's staying saga

There will always be rumours about clubs wanting Stevie, today in the papers it is Juventus. If Gerrard wants to go then I would say sell him and rebuild with the money, although if the takeover goes ahead it will give us the spending power to really compete.

Rafa has made some poor buys but they were all cheap ones. Players that he has spent 5 million plus on have all improved the squad: Alonso, Garcia, Reina, Crouch, Bellamy, Agger, Sissoko and Kuyt.

If the new owners give him some decent funds in the summer next season will be the closest ever with 4 sides really going for the title. 8)
