I am no fan of AFA. I don't think I ever will be. Only way I would be willing to pay the premium is if it is a figure I am actively after, seeking, nearly impossible to track or locate and has a slim chance of surfacing again. That is my exception to paying the inflation.

I guess compared to afa prices this is high but reasonable for an afa 85.

The story sounds good with a mention of the Legendary Rock Band KISS. Apparently he found it there.

I am confused as to why he didn't keep the original cardback that he said the figure was on in a cracked bubble.

Maybe it's me, but aren't you charged more for a DT authentication rather than your standard figure.

HMM.

I guess I really have no idea just how bad the bubble was cracked but he seemed confident it would have gotten a U grade.

I just find it hard to believe he wasn't notified about the price difference and denied U grade do to damage to bubble.
Wouldn't he have noticed this on the invoice? The price adjustment?

My rant and rave is just heading towards that he should have gotten the card, bubble and figure all encased in a Acrylic case.

This figure has now become another lost example of a complete example do to Owner and AFAs stupidity.

This is a shame.

When these situations present them selves, especially DTs or other rare broken bubble carded figures that are to be graded, it should be highly stressed that everything is encased together so nothing is forgotten and thrown away.
