Luke Bespin - soft plastic?

I've not seen this discussed before so thought I'd ask here...

As kids my brother and I both had a Luke Bespin each (most likely to avoid arguments!). They were the blonde version and were bought prior to 'Jedi'. I'm almost positive they would've been Palitoy figures.

I always remember the plastic being relatively soft and we ended up breaking one leg on both our figures - they both snapped at the peg connecting the leg to the torso. Does anyone know if this was/is a common problem with this figure?

Funny you should mention that but I remember my childhood one's head breaking off after owning it for a while. This never happened to any other figure I owned growing up so it's interesting to hear the problem you had with yours.

Glad to hear it wasn't just us! Even as a kid I remember it seeming odd that both figures broke but none of our others did - it's not like we singled LB out for special treatment!
