Whats a fair price to pay for a palitoy 12 back luke afa grade 80+?

Ouch - prices for Palitoy 12 backs are sky high and all over. I'd say £1500 to start the ball rolling but one sold at auction a couple of months back for £4200

I heard about the Vectis auction price and was wondering if the one that sold was special in some way or was a realistic current market value. As you say the current prices seem to be going higher each day

I think between 2.5 and 3.5 is probably more realistic and I wouldn't be surprised if it went higher. A couple of AFA 85's came up on ebay a while ago and I think one reached around 6k with the other not selling for it's asking price of around 7k. This last one went back up for sale recently at 6.5k and didn't sale.

These things do go in waves though and an 85 grade should always go for a fair bit more than an 80 most of the time.

Best of luck with the hunt though.

I'll go a little stronger and say to stand a fair chance of getting an AFA 80+ Graded/worthy you gotta be prepared to go 4-5K and prob a fair bit more :?
