Chaps,

How do you guys store your loose figures, that are not on display? Ive seen acid free bag, clamshell figure cases, tackle boxes etc but would really like some more info on this.I want to store my mint set away, whilst preserving yellowing etc.

Any ideas/advice would be great.

Lee

I get big plastic boxes from Poundstretcher for organisation.

The cheapest plastic storage I can find. You are better of going in store to check the sizes.

I keep my loosies in plastic bags with holes punched into them for ventilation (you can make holes in your plastic boxes too) and the weapons secured to card for safety. Try to keep them cool to as heat speeds up any deterioration. I have read about the acid free bags, not to knowledgeable about them really but might be a good idea for long term storage.

Most of my loose vehicles are in the big plastic boxes with lots of packing peanuts for protection.

My MIB vehicles have the boxes filled with packing peanuts and then wrapped in brown postage paper for protection.

My MOC's are mostly modern and these are in the large plastic boxes while my vintage MOC's are in in Christians acrylic cases and on display.

Hope any of this helps. :D

This probably all wrong but mine are in an old Quality Street tin. All crammed in there

I use to keep them in a quality street tin in the 80s, they were much bigger in those days x

I'd avoid plastic all together and use a thick plain cardboard box. Cut up some cardboard to make separate sections. Keep out of light, out of damp and not in the attic (Too much temperature variation and mice).

I keep mine in plastic Chinese carry out rice containers with lids.

The figures lie perfectly as the width of the containers is shy of 4 inches.

They are perfect.
