Got this for just 99p on ebay!

Listing Quote "Original 1970's/early 1980's life-size model of R2D2. Made from cardboard this model is approx 1 metre tall and 62cm wide. He is constructed from many cardboard pieces"

It had a Buy It Now of £50 as well!

Im not sure it is vintage thought but i dont care for that price.

Im getting it posted for £5.50 (asked before bidding) so really its still £6.50 in total.

To be honest i haven't a clue. Its going to fill a corner when i do out my attic as a my collection room next month.

The listing said it was from the early 80s

I never seen one before. The more i look at the picture the more i think it doesnt look like the modern displays.

Thats from around the time of TPM. Part of an advertising campaign in shops selling books - like the visual dictionary books.
Think there were R2, Pit Droid, Destroyer Droid and I think a battle droid.

Until recently I had a mangled Pit Droid

Yeah that pit droid looks awesome shadow.

My R2 is all paid for so i can wait to get him.

Im doing out my attic next month so im going to have my own room to display my collection (at last) and i can see R2 ocupying a corner.
