long eye tube tusken raider

trawling through e-bay and i saw this quote


I have an ungraded one of these variants in my collection which i bought front a very reliable US seller of vintage star wars figures. When i bought it the seller informed me that this variant is rarer than the hollow cheeks variant of sand people/tusken raider. I totaly believe this to be true as i had never seen another one until i received this graded one just recently & as you can see from the pictures I've provided he clearly has longer eye tubes than his cheeks whereas the the eye tubes on every other sand people/tusken raider are actually shorter than the cheeks. Please see all the pictures I've provided & you will see the differences for yourself. One picture shows 4 different variants (hollow cheeks, no coo, & HK light & dark brown paint variants) from my personal collection, all having regular length eye tubes

never heard of a longer eye tube variant are they rare???

I had been watching this item, I am after a loose graded Tusken and I was going too ask the same question, but is there any value in this Tusken as there is on the hollow tubes? or is it just a variant?

I looked this one up the other day. It's not that uncommon, certainly not "ultra rare".

I have never heard of a longer eye tube variant , but thanks for sharing information.

Hi again, yes I have been looking at my collection and I have 6 of them all variants. So I do not think they are very rare :wink:

Some of them does also not have the same coo

Hi scott,

If I add my hollow cheeks variant then I have 7 variants with longer eyes in my collection. Here is a picture of all 7 with longer eyes. I found this 3 different coo with the 7 figures. Hope it helpes :wink:
