London riots, welfare check

You guys are ok over there? Hearing some really disturbing stuff going on re the riots in London at the moment. Mind you we get most of our news via Murdoch media so.........

Might need Burnsy to don the Fett outfit get his stormy mates and go sort em out.

Yeah things are pretty scary. Everyone i know has been effected. We're all having to check in with everyone i know.
The pub i usually work in had to close as the riots spread to Angel and it's sister pub in Camden had it's windows smashed in and all the staff (friends of mine) are hiding in the basement.
I have friends in Clapham, Camden and i live very near ealing where the looting has spread to tonight.

I believe in people right to protest but when they use it as an excuse for this kind of **** it makes my blood boil, ****ers! :evil:

Luckily i wasn't at work tonight. I was walking home through central london last night and things were quiet but now it's everywhere. Luckily, again, i live just outside the city so i should be ok here. Will have to sleep to the sound of helicopters tho which have been ever present for the last 4 hours.

That's ****ed up Pete, just watched some footage from and you can just see them getting caught up in the frenzy of it all. One dick smashes a window and the other hundred around him feel they have to do the same.

Bring back the hippies I say, the only thing they smashed was their brains.

Holy **** Pete. We have just got back from Finchley- I didn't realise how bad it was as I havent been watching tv over the weekend. We did "the walk" green park- buck palace- downing street- eye etc. We went to Trafalgar square- the atmosphere was fantastic, everyone was really happy on the Sunday. Tbh I am very glad to be back home now.

So whereabouts are you Pete? Are you in Camden? (actually it's quite funny as I was looking out for you on the tube!! lol you can tell I am a country bumpkin!!)

The whole thing is disgusting- and the fear of the spreading violence is really terrifying. Is the violence just at night? Or is it during the day too?

I do laugh at the English trying to riot. No petrol bombs, very few pissed up under 14's (until last night apparently) and so far no one has dropped a breeze block on the heads of the Police! Absolute amateurs you lot! :lol:

You wanna know how to riot come over here and we'll show you. They do **** like that every other night for about 3 months very summer over here, it barely gets on the news (and as fewer people hear about it you don't get the 'riot tourists' London is getting).

Simple solution to it all, let the Police shoot them!

"Looking out for me on the tube" :lol: Funny tho, i will often be in all the places you mention. Down the road from the london eye is the tate modern which i visit from time to time. I'm often down the river where the eye and houses of parliment are. It's awesome down there.
I was shopping in Camden on sunday afternoon before heading to work in Angel. This was before the trouble spread so everything was normal.
I live just outside west london (about 20 miles from Camden) but the trouble has spread to Ealing and West Ealing which are both just down the road from me. That gives you an idea of the distance this thing has spread.

I'm in Camden. I live about 1/4 mile from the high street, but there were still gangs going around in the residential areas.
