My last vintage pick up back in the day was a trilogo Anakin Skywalker. Must have been 1985, i think.

What about you guys?

Trilogo Stormie, can't remember the year exactly, might be around 86-87,
me and my family was visiting some friends in a neighbouring town, and they said I couldn't take the stormie
with me when we came to their house, but the stormie made its way to my pocket in the blink of an eye, and the blaster got lost going
from the cardback to my pocket... :p

Can't remember my last BITD Vintage purchase, vaguely remember my brother getting Imperial Gunner quite late on...

I remember this happening a lot though :D

Mine was a ROTJ Bib Fortuna, I won him on a 'hook the duck' stall in Brighton in about 89/90. That's actually the only memory I have of buying/opening a MOC.

You all got some nice last figs! The last thing I got was a Logray cos it was the only thing left in the discount figure bin. We'd go to Partners when I went to my nan's house and they had a big basket of figs, in the end it was nothing but Ewoks. Must have been about 87/88?

I think I was only ever allowed on new item and that was the AST-5 with a Klaatu - no wonder I feel the need to buy do much now :)

Mine was Amanaman and another Ewok I think, I remember getting them both with my £1.50 pocket money. I remember it was Amanaman because I had to watch ROTJ about 20 times before I finally found him. That was a shop called Bazzar in my home town which was great at the end of the line.

I think my last one was an Ewok Village from Woolworths, bargain at 5 quid (I also picked up a B Wing for 5 quid too). I was lucky with last fig too, it was a Yak Face (which was of course £1.59), but as I was a bit too old for it, I just took it out of the package and then stored it away, something I was very glad that I did when i started collecting again about 18 years later, saved me some cahs there!

****ing hell Ed that must have been a good few years they must have been dragging Bib around for if you got him in 1990!!!

The last thing I bought was a One Man Sail Skiff for a£1.50 from Debenhams when it was all going cheap. Last Figure may have been a Bespin Luke for £1.25

Great question. I need to think carefully here. It must have been my Bib. I missed all the sales and last 17s due to my interest in Star Wars being replaced by an interest in girls (a much more expensive and more futile hobby).

mine was a rotj darth vader from a little toy shop in Grantham, must have been about 1985/6. Still vividly remember the wall of Star Wars toys they had...awesome

Your memory is far better than mine even though you are the original scatman :) the only vintage I can clearly remember getting was a speederbike that mum had hidden behind a pillow for us to find, pretty sure I found it first :D

Have very vague memories of getting figures from woolworths in Woodley but can't picture the figures.

Yup mum got the speederbikes and despite being two of the poorest kids in school I think we where the first to get speederbikes. 8)

She hid them under the cushions on the sofa for when we got home from school.

We where upstaged soon enough though, someone from my year came into school with a speeder bike with Snake Eyes sitting on it, he looked so awesome with his articulated legs sitting on a Speederbike properly rather than like a twat (like the straight legged Biker Scout) it was one of those slo-mo moment where everybody in the playground stopped in awe, so much so it is still vivid in my mind.

Last thing I bought (well my Dad bought) was a Jawa in 1978. I did get to open a couple of shipping boxes out the back of the toy store to find it though!

:)

So poor I even had to cut my own hair, which happened to be on the day the photographer was coming round  I certainly had one dodgy haircut in that picture and have pretty much had a dodgy haircut throughout my life

Who had the snake eyes speederbike :?:

Martin Lidle I think it was, he came to one of your birthday parties (we had the black shirt and white pencil tie thing going on  ) and we watched Romancing the Stone .

I remember my last vintage purchase being a couple of the mini rigs that were reduced to 49p. I think I'd started to lose interest by then and I remember a few weeks later my mate got Han carbonite and Luke stormie but by that time I was into transformers.
