KODI help

Hi,
Are there any computer wizards out there? I've just downloaded Kodi to my android tablet. I then tried the first page worth of Google links to try and install something onto kodi to allow me to stream channels but non worked, I'm clueless. Anyone able to paste a link to an idiots guide that works or PM me a step by step guide? Thanks in advance.
