German Soldier Figure
INDIANA JONES & THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981)

A German soldier figure from Steven Spielberg's action-adventure classic Raiders of the Lost Ark. This miniature is a repurposed 1980 Kenner Luke Skywalker action figure from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and was made for use on a model miniature of the rock altar during the Ark opening scene.

The action figure is repainted to resemble a German soldier, and includes a cap made from green tape. The figure shows minor wear due to production use and age, but remains in very fine condition. Dimensions: 10 cm x 4 cm x 1 cm (4" x 1 1/2" x 1/2")

Estimate: £600 - £800

That is awesome! I may have to re-purpose one of my beater Bespin Lukes. Thanks for sharing.

Never knew about that, really cool! I wonder if you can see him in the film

I screen capped a pretty good shot showing several of the miniatures in that scene. Looks like they used a few of them and cleaned them up a bit to look less like figures in post production. Yet another of many links between my two all time favorite films. :)

How can it be worth 600-800 quid, someone repainted it and stuck a paper hat on a 10 quid figure, that's if I'm reading it right

It's still a used movie prop though isn't it?

Maybe that's why theres a premium.....i just hope someone doesn't start mocking these up and try to pass them off as props on ebay.

I give it a month before someone comes up with a custom rip off.

I'd be amazed if it went that cheap - more like a couple of grand I bet.

That's a good point, how can this one for sale be 100% proved that it is a used movie prop?

Great find Chris, a really nice piece. Presumably it will come with a COA which fakes won't. I'm going to have to watch raiders again now :)

The photo on the auction page is an odd one as those models don't look like Luke - but a couple could be contenders with the eye of faith
