I might add.....this also has the aged look to make it appear to have playware.

Its ok but if i was you i would have custom used screen caps from the film and edited them in an arts program and made it look more real , however if you wanted it to look like a real kenner/palitoy set then fair enough ok effort .

:? Karen wtf are you talking about?!?!

Todd that is great mate, awesome idea for a project and I think it's perfect.

I bet you have poured hours and hours into this, great work :)

Yeah looks good Todd although if we are allowed to slag you off - I would have used a Poon whiter than white Stormie for the picture

Only joking - definitely one of those scenes in the movie that is very memorable and probably deserves a custom!

Thanks guys. I was trying to make something that looked like the Kenner designers would have made. As for the other comment...........Kenner never used screen captures for playsets. If you feel the need to one up one on everyone.....please do not comment on my threads.

Nice job TFB, I thought this was an American line that was available in the UK or maybe was a shop display at first glance. I have got to have a go at this custom stuff one day

A bit sad that you have had to explain that you were going for a vintage look. Its a bit like a butcher having to explain to someone why he sells meat :?

Thanks. Considering the comment came from the same person who was trying to fool us with repro 12 backs that were not as good as this custom....I consider the source.

FOR SALE:

STAR WARS VINTAGE DEATH STAR CONTROL ROOM PROTOTYPE 1978 MINT.

Hi,

My uncle use to work as a designer for Kenner and has recently passed away when trying to reason the many diffrent versions of Hasbro's Luke Skywalker (In Running Position) figures have been released since 1995.

My son (whom has lovely soft hands) and I have recently emptied his house and have found many old toys and projects he was working on when he was Senior Chief Intern for Kenner in the loft.

Here we have a toy playset from a film called 'Star Wars' that I believe was popular in the late 70's. This was found in a large box under my aunty's copy of a Star Wars 'Script?'.

We have decided to sell it to someone who might have kids who would like to play with it and use the proceeds to pay for children in Taiwan who have suffered injuries from working in sweetshops building more 'Running' Luke Skywalker figures. We don't know how much its worth so lets start the bidding at $10,000.

Will throw in star wars plastic cape jawas and goat men action figures.

Good Luck

Oh yeah- ****ing good work mate- it looks totally vintage :)
Come on....I could have did screen captures and put lighting in it....ripped Anthony Daniels cock off and glued it in place. Unless I was just after that tired old Kenner look.......then I guess it's better than a 3 year old could do....of course I just bin things like this normally.

that is verys 70s kenner! i duff my cap to you!
ignore karen, thats well good!

I am not saying its good its just the Interior of the control room is a tad repetitive and could look amazing if it was done properly its like hes custom made a small bit of art and then used it over and over it looks odd , maybe this is a work in progress there for it could end up being fantastic!!! if he worked on it more .

retract that before i prove you wrong ...you clearly have issues ...poor you .

Yeah of all the people to criticise on their own limelight, Todd isnt the wisest choice

I still maintain it looks great. I would buy one 8)

Reckon this thread should remain about the custom rather than anything else

I think it looks quality - and although it wouldn't pass as any form of toy these days - back then it would have been amazing to own somehting like that
