Hi,

I've got a questions regarding Kenner cards. I've got quite a few a few cardbacks which are US Kenner issues, yet they have historic UK price tags on them. Was this just because Palitoy were running low of stock in the UK - or were the outlets just finding a different source? I am wracking my brain to think if I ever saw a Kenner logo as a kid and I have a vague recollection, because (at the time) I thought it was an American company taking over good old Palitoy!

Any ideas how this came about?

cheers

I only remember the Kenner logo on SW toys from when i was a kid. First time i ever saw a Palitoy logo was after i joined this forum 2 years ago. I was born in 78 so when i was buying/being bought Star Wars toys it was probably 82-84.. I remember the ROTJ line and card-backs best and remember a few ESBs. I was an absolute toy nut and spent hours and hours standing in toy shops. I actually used to walk into town on saturdays just to stand in the toy shop. An yet, i only remember the Kenner logo.

Yes, the Kenner logo'd ones I remembered were the ROTJ ones. I wish I still had my cardbacks from when I was a kid, I sold all my original toys back in 2000-02 but I never found the cardbacks so hopefully they are still lurking in the attic at my parents house.

I can remember seeing the Kenner death star in a toy shop when I was a kid. Probably late 70's

First kenner figure i saw was an ESB carded bespin security guard, I wqill always remember that because Seeing that kenner logo made me wonder if palitoy had stopped making the figures.
