Hi Everbody

I bought this Darth Vader off ebay from sonnyjames (Top Seller!) and im really happy.

it is a Darth Vader (pointing picture) ROTJ 77 BK A AFA85 NM.

When i got it today i noticed the vader and his lightsaber looked very different to my other vader and wondered if this item is a lily ledy. It says made in mexico and the back and has the tell tale hole in the cardback behind the bubble i have included some pictures in this post.

If this is a Lily Ledy vader would that make it rarer?
Would it make it more/less valuable?

Also should the AFA have picked this up when grading or is it down to what the owner writes on the submission form?

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers Jay

thats a "made in mexico"

i have a ledy and a "M.I.M" like yours loose and the M.I.M. torso seems to be made of different plastic

"M.I.M"s can originate from the Ledy factory but as far as i know they got exported to USA and carded there so some MIM's can end up with Kenner accessories..

im sure the guys will correct me if im wrong

nice grab :)

the thick tipped sabers is a Ledy trait...

Hi Thanks for the replies

i found this and my figure above is exact to the lily ledy one on the right down to every last detail whereas my other vader is exact to the standard one on the left

yep same mold

same details.

mim/ledys from same molds

the plastic used on the torso's can vary

Thanks for the reply gustie so is the card a ledy? i know someone posted earlier it wasn't but i have a few other ledy cards and the card material on this vader looks the same. Also i thought the hole behind the bubble is only present on the ledy cards? or is that something that other factories done aswell?

Cheers Jay

Ledy cards actually say LILI LEDY on the front instead of KENNER

the holes could be present if Ledy carded the MIM versions to be exported to USA...

im not 100% but thats what i think..

ledy cards ^^^ not in english like MIM's

Thanks for that gustie i have never sen pictures of that type of card ever in 5 years collecting really interesting! after looking at ebay, RS and various other source a lot of collectors consider the MIM as ledy cards? that how it seems to me. Got to say the cards on that pic look mad i want one lol!

i wouldnt class a MIM card as a ledy tbh

nice stil tho :)

ill find you some better ledy card pics

some on my home pc - the cardbacks are totally different

Here's what the back of a Ledy card looks like.

Sorry, I don't have any better pictures. Hopefully you can see the card back.
As yours has the standard coloured backing to it, it's not a Ledy. It may well be a Ledy figure, or at least one made in the same mold as Ledy used (MIM as Gustie says), but it's not a Ledy card.

Still a very nice MOC mind! 8)

Nice find Gustie, shows the card back really well.

That's my Rebel commander as well!

Lovely Ledys :D
