Quick question..

Is it worth my while joining Rebelscum?

I love this forum and it will always be "home" I just need to increase my connections I think?

I know there are some clicky dins on there and a few willy wavers, but all's good my end with all that kind of **** :lol:

I've thought exactly the same but I'm not sure what either of those terms mean! :lol:
I probably won't because all I need is in the uk and I'll save on postage and stuff. But there are a lot of uk fans on there!

The attitudes of the 2 forums are poles apart this forum and its members are friendly and approachable and help each other out with links, advice etc i certainly would t still be collecting if had to contend with some of the egos on rebel scum .
It's a good resource but no where near the community that this forum is.

It's good to have a presence- especially for the classifieds.

I just look at the limelights. Some are so good.

It can't harm to be on there and as Grant says, the Classified are worth a look. The watch out section can sometimes be interesting as well. In general it is just hard to have a laugh over there as there are a lot of people that take themselves so seriously

Rebelscum is cool, it was the 1st forum I ever joined and got a lot of help from some cool cats on there. But I find myself going there less and less ever since I joined this awesome forum I mostly go on there just to see what's popping and check out the sales thread. It's up to you thou, but Star Wars UK forum is the $Hit! 8)

There are a handful of seriously messed up people over there with various grudges, obsessions and daft rantings, but it's only a handful and it is a great resource as other have said. The classifieds is decent because you do get european sellers and therefore avoid customs and postage hassle.

What harm can it do to join :lol:

I'd join mate, no harm in being on another board if you got time to read it, as the others said if nothing else it's just another place to buy toys from - no need to get too involved if this is your local

My post count must be less than 30, ive been a member there for about 9 months. i just keep an eye on the classifieds, I've purchased some quality MOCs which I struggled to bag in the UK.
Give it ago, you can always walk away

Getting banned is easy over there. They say they want to keep it "Kid" friendly. If I ever caught my kids on there I would kick their ass as it would give them a warped sense of what collecting star wars is all about. There are, however a few members over there that are just there to share and not get caught up in things. Just stay away from the high and mighty egos (Way too many names to mention), strike foil, sand tits and the dude who posts huge reference pictures on threads he has nothing to do with and you will be fine.

I am a member but rarely post and have never purchased anything from their classifieds, I would recommend joining though.

Look at the pro's

Its free
They have some informative threads
You can follow those threads more easily as a member
I would guess they have a larger classified section
Its easier to keep track of Karen exploits being a member
You can get banned and hang out with the cool kids like Todd

I am a scummer.....yeah sometimes I post to much....but it is a great forum. Some rules are lame and I am surprised I have not gotten booted off. RS has some great information to offer and so does this forum. I love the different opinions and I have learned lots from both places. Not sure if that helped or not......you can always just buy **** on there.

I would say yes. I was originally a member of TIG only until Liam recommended I join here, the same happened with RS again another recommendation (sorry can't remember who??).

I have sales threads on all 3 sites, as they all cater for different markets, for example....

SWFUK - Mainly UK users / mainly Kenner/Palitoy stuff for sale.

Rebelscum - Alot of internation users / Various stuff for sale / Strict forum rules

TIG - Smaller userbase / international users / excellent foreign variant knowledge & guides available.

If you don't agree with my comments don't worry they are only my opinions, I do not wish to offend anyone.

At the end of the day I sell/buy worldwide on all 3 sites, I collect foreign variants so alot of the time RS/TIG normally offer more stuff for me to buy.
