As ever Joe, a great interview and it must be said, WOW, what a collection Doma has, such an interesting story too
Thanks for sharing and keep up the sterling work, it's very much appreciated

Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed the read and I appreciate your posts!

A quick question on the photos that were cropped to make the cardbacks. Are they original promo/press releases or just general photos?

Nice interview as well.

A real mixture actually. From images commonly seen in press and promo stuff to rarely seen movie stills and even reference photos/behind the scenes stuff with actors standing in front of blue screens etc.

Some of the cardback images have since been used to make prints at cons for the actors to sign (Logray for example) while some of the more boring ones have never been used again. Really cool stuff!

Nice interview. Has Doma gathered his pics of the uncropped cardback images online anywhere ?

Yes he posted the images up on the cardback collectors facebook group (there is a link in the interview that should take you right to it if you are logged in). Have to have a FB account though!

I can ask him to sign up on here and post them in a new thread if you non FB guys want?

Sorry only just got round to reading this one Joe, really interesting! The photos of that haul he didn't buy are out of this world, value aside there are some seriously rare MOCs in that lot, I bet even Stephane doesn't have some of them!

No probs Edd! Glad you and the other guys enjoyed it!

It really was an amazing collection, even now with so much information on variations out there and many more in collections because more people are aware of them it's still a sight to behold.

Funny that you should mention Stephane, I'm not sure if he ended up buying the entire collection himself or they just trickled through to him but quite a few of the figures from that collection are now in his set. The 70C Nikto, Jawa with the torn card, Han Bespin double Stem and possibly that peach of an Amanaman all appear to be the same ones.

So there is. Thanks. I never knew such a group existed. Looking forward to getting in there.
