A couple of months ago I purchased a Pre production DT Saber from a gentleman over in Sweden. After agreeing a price I was astonished when I received an email asking for my address and that he would be sending it ASAP but didn't want payment until I had received it and was 100% happy with the item. Sure enough a week or so later it arrived without a single penny being exchanged. I couldn't believe how trusting he had been and I really couldn't thank him enough yet he acted like it was nothing. I've never been so pleased to send a payment.

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this level of trust? Or if anyone had had such an enjoyable transaction?

Sadly if I'm going to be honest I'm not so sure if could ever do the same especially if it was a first time deal like it was in this situation.

My first ever deal with Iain was a bit like that. He'd sent the stuff out before I paid no problem. But I'm sure the ore production DT saver wa worth way more than my little deal with Iain. Very trusting in this day an age.

Wow that is some level of trust and balls to do that, fair play.

Was it a forum sale? Couldn't see this happening through eBay :?

Awesome story Dude. Its worth noting just for imformation purposes tho the world isn't only filled with Scammers its also full of good people too. Iv encountered this level of kindness from people in the past. Its humbling to say the least. Long live the good innkeepers of this world. 8)

I was looking in to buying one when I stumbled across a blog of a guy in the states that had purchased one, I emailed him just to say how I loved how he had displayed it (which I have now stolen!) and after a couple of emails directed me to his seller and who was kind enough to sell another one to me. I believe he did well in "the earth find"

So you did end up stealing something

You clearly came across very well and very trustworthy :)

This hobby is full of crazily trusting and generous people, in fact without many of them I wouldn't even have a collection to enjoy. Good story Aaron and rest assured there are a lot more good guys out there.

Great post Aaron :D

There is loads of crap out there in the world but there are diamonds too.

MR Shakespeare sums it up for me (from Julius ceaser )

the evil that men do lives after them, the good is oft interred with their bones

There is good in most people, you've got to learn to try not to expect everyone is out to do you over, ok you can't be super naive but you also have to find a balance.

I must say over the past few months I've had some issues and bad stuff to deal with, then you see something happen like that poor soldier recently, and it puts things into perspective, love the life you live, try and do the right thing by others.

No one is perfect, but we can but try :D

As June would put it...peace Dudes :D

Great story Aaron

Umm Gentleman in Sweden whose really trustful, Sounds like Soren! :)

I have been both the guy that has been 'crazy' and also one that has benefitted from that sort of trust.

I like to see the good in people and am a big believer in do unto others what you would like them to do to you. There are too many scum bags on this planet for my liking but in general I haven't come across that many in this community and long may that continue

Second that

As a new member, very quickly realised that this forum had some great guys, and that initial feeling has been borne out

Great forum, great genuine guys on here :D

Even the tough guys ( you know who you are) are pussycats

Really nice to read Aaron. Yeah its so easy to be cynical in this day and age with so many people trying to screw you over, that its easy to forget about just how many good people are out there as well, including some that we might take for granted in our everyday lives :) .
